Lancaster Pollard seeks to increase our accounting department, which is centralized in the Columbus, Ohio, office.
The position will be responsible for all aspects of the payroll function, including acting as liaison with the outside vendor, preparing commission calculations, submitting 401(k) deferrals and performing general ledger entries. Additional responsibilities include supporting the rest of the accounting department with account reconciliation and expense reimbursement verification. This is a perfect position for someone with a solid payroll processing background to gain broader experience and move up within a growing organization.
The ideal candidate would possess the following core characteristics:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• Minimum three years progressive work experience in accounting with a focus on payroll processing
• Experience with Paychex payroll processing
• Outstanding multi-tasking, prioritization and organizational skills
• Proven ability to meet deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to think logically
• Professional manner and highest degree of integrity
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access & Outlook)
• Knowledge of MS Dynamics SL software a plus
