Currently we are seeking investment bankers for our Columbus, New York, Atlanta and Los Angeles offices.
The primary responsibilities of the position include: develop new business through direct interface with prospective clients, professional service firms, and associations; understand, analyze, and communicate hospital and senior living operations issues; produce and/or supervise credit analysis and the compilation of a credit enhancement and rating agency packages; review and analyze legal contracts such as applications, commitments, and loan and bond documents; make presentations to management and boards of prospective clients as well as at state and national association meetings and conventions; interface with clients to obtain necessary documentation and appropriately manage the closing process with a variety of capital sources.
The ideal candidate would possess the following core characteristics:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, real estate, economics, pre-law or related field. MBA preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in the financial industry, tax-exempt underwriting experience preferably in health care and/or senior living banking
• Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned region working long hours, including some weekends as necessary
• Knowledge of FHA insurance and/or FNMA enhancement programs as well as federal and local subsidy programs
• Series 7 license (or attainment within six months of hire)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, handle multiple projects, and function under tight timeframes
• Display initiative and strong sense of personal motivation and responsibility
• Entrepreneurial, ambitious, detail-oriented, organized and professional
