IT Analyst

This position will be responsible for configuring, monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks; assisting users through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone; troubleshooting system and network; hardware diagnosis and minor repair/replacement; providing technical support, including assistance with procedures or documentation; support systems and users through the use of network applications; support existing and new applications; new user setup (equipment, permissions, software installation, etc.); prioritizing and managing several open cases at one time; testing and evaluating new technology.


The ideal candidate would possess the following core characteristics:

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science or equivalent education, training, or experience
  • Two to three years experience supporting networked users with demonstrated troubleshooting experience
  • Extensive MS Office support
  • Supporting remote users
  • Knowledge & Skills in the following areas:
    o Windows operating systems support, specifically XP, 2000, 2003
    o Providing end users with application support, specifically MS Office 2003/2007,
    o Providing end users with network support, specifically issues involving network resources, connectivity, VPN/Terminal Services
    o Various system backup concepts and practices
  • Excellent ability to set priorities, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Knowledge of database architecture and management (MS SQL, Access)
  • Experience with business hardware (scanners, copiers, printers), and business systems and applications (CRM tools, Windows RDP, Backup Exec)
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up
  • Service-oriented individual with problem solving disposition
